I too believe that the rank should be gone. Rank is a status that one tries to abuse. We are all voulnteers and should all be treated equally as such. We all Come And Pay to help others. Yeah, I am now a LT but whoopie who cares! I still rather not hold a rank! In my Sq. we have one who imediatly got rank of Capt. at sign up of membership that has no military background do to thier job and feels that they should be Maj. instead. This person is not at all in the chain of command but overides it anyway cause they think that their rank over sees the chain, this person even disrespects the commander in front of cadets and others but gets away with it. To me, all the rank does is cause big swollen wanna be heads that was rejected by the militery and should just stay with a scouting program instead of helping the community. One that should have a rank are our vets! They deserve it, they earned the rank, respect and our gratitudes! Not the wanna bes.
